How Much Gold Is Enough?

Gooooooold...A few weeks ago I crossed the 30,000 gold barrier between all of the characters on my account. In reality, the majority of that money was between my Hunter Nance and my bank alt Daugherty. They had 19,000 gold and 13,000 gold respectively. My total as of this morning was about 34,000 gold.

My question for you is: at what point do you have enough gold? I’ve said before I use gold counts as a kind of scoring system within the game and I’m to the point where that artificial score is the only practical reason for having this much virtual currency.

The Ice Stone Has Melted!I know this is petty and small of me but this Ice Stone server message bug is obnoxious. Again, like I said in a previous post about the 3.0.8 patch, I think it’s time Blizzard took a good hard look at their testing practices.

Trouble With Patch 3.0.8

I’m sure a lot of you haven’t been too impressed with the release of 3.0.8 this week. The amount of problems we’ve all seen and the number of bugs that slipped through the cracks is pretty astounding for a company the size of Blizzard that has always put an emphasis on quality releases.

I’m a software developer (not on the scale of these guys, of course) so I can relate to issues with bugs and release problems. My big concern here is that 3.0.8 brings to light a serious problem with Blizzard’s testing mechanisms.

Why People Think Wrath Is Easy

This was originally going to be a post bashing a PuG I was in the other night that unsuccessfully tried to run Heroic Utgarde Keep. I even had a graphic created showing my DPS compared to the other people in the group, with the names of the guilty blurred for their protection.

I realize now that a much better post would be to discuss why people think Wrath is so easy and why that might not really be the case.
