Interview with Grimtorn of Me and My Ghoul

Grimtorn of Me and My GhoulI asked Grimtorn, the writer of the Death Knight blog Me and My Ghoul, if she would like to be my first interview subject here at Alterac Volley and thankfully she agreed. I was interested in her thoughts on tanking as a Death Knight as well as her thoughts on the recent Hunter nerf since her other character is currently specced Beast Mastery.

Before creating Grimtorn had you ever had any prior tanking experience? For everyone, like myself, with Death Knights and an itch to tank, do you recommend a Death Knight as a first tanking character?

Working On My Death Knight

Death Knight EmbryI hit a bit of a ceiling with my Hunter main over the Christmas week so I’ve switched my focus for awhile to my Death Knight. I had been playing him off and on since the release of Wrath but as of tonight he’s about a third of the way to level 68 and a ticket to Northrend.

The problem I’m experiencing at the moment is a total lack of desire to run Outland quests again. I could barely stomach most of them the first time around so the idea of doing some of them again is pretty nauseating to me. My solution is to take breaks between chunks of quests and taking what I learned by power-leveling mining earlier on my Hunter and applying it to this Death Knight. As I work on his mining skill I’m also pushing through with blacksmithing.
