Fifty Thousand

Well, it took me much longer to go from 40,000 gold to 50,000 gold than I originally anticipated. The big culprit for the long delay was my quest to finish the Lil’ Game Hunter achievement. Every time I would get a few thousand over forty I would spend it on a new expensive pet I didn’t have. I have no idea how much I dropped in total on all of the pets I needed to finally complete that achievement but it was easily over 10,000 gold.

I made a big push in the last few days to get the final 1,500 gold or so I needed to break 50,000. The Midsummer Fire Festival across two level 80 characters really helped get me over the top. I basically fire hopped from town to town on each character while I waited for my usual Auction House items to sell.

My big sellers for the final push were my old reliable items: Eternal Belt Buckles, Northern Spices and Northrend Fish. I’m also dabbling in selling the Kharmaa’s Grace gem that I’m picking up with spare Stone Keeper’s Shards.

Next Up

Sixty thousand, of course. I was originally all set to spend a huge amount of money on new gear for both Nance and Swiit but the upcoming emblem changes in Patch 3.2 have put the kill shot to that plan. There’s no reason to blow my pile of gold on gear I can replace for free.
