For now, it's the Wolf. I'm not a disposable pet person. My hunter friend is, he'll trade out his pets in a heartbeat for whichever theory-crafted pet will increase his total DPS. While I understand the difficulty in the pet balancing while maintaining their diverse abilities, I feel a bit sad when I feel pressured to tame a wolf pet because it's best for DPS. I like my wasp, but his special ability isn't that great since it doesn't stack with rogues. And a bear in a raid? He just dosen't put out the damage. As MM though, fortunately my pet choice isn't all that important. Otherwise, you're just going to get super ganked left and right by over geared rogues. It's a nightmare. But if you're looking for a PvP pet, at that level, you might want to go with a Cat or a Boar.
