Speed Run: Hellfire Ramparts
I was having a hard time finding a PUG to run any Heroics last night so I thought I’d go run solo through Hellfire Ramparts and make a little easy money instead. About halfway through I realized it might be kind of fun to time myself and post my run here on the site.
So this morning I woke up and ran it solo again, but this time I used the in-game /stopwatch to track my time. As you can see from the screenshot above, my time was 24 minutes and 22 seconds. I also came up with a small set of rules, or guidelines, I would follow for this and any future runs I make.
Rules and Guidelines
- Start the timer the second you walk inside.
- You have to kill everything inside.
- You have to loot everything inside. Skinning is optional.
- Stop the timer the second you walk outside.
If anyone who reads this blog wants to make their own run and post their time in the comments please go right ahead. We’re working on the honor system here and there’s no cash or prizes for the lowest time.

If I hadn’t bothered with skinning I’m pretty sure I could get way under 24 minutes. There’s no point really but it helps make old content a little more exciting and entertaining.
Plus, a lot of this Burning Crusade stuff is content I never got to see the first time around. That’s an added bonus.

My Hunter Nance (http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Greymane&n=Nance) but the gear I had then wasn’t as good as what I have now.

I don’t think I’d beat 24 minutes, Nance. I tend to be pretty slow. :)
