The Inevitable Wintergrasp Queue
The inevitable, but depressing, conclusion to the Wintergrasp lag problem has been announced: a queue system.
The actual queueing system itself seems reasonable and fair, at first glance, but I’m not too sure the player limit is going to have any lasting effect on my server. I don’t think I can ever remember a time when the Horde on Greymane-US had over 100 people on our side fighting in the zone. On the other hand, the Alliance regularly have an advantage in numbers over us but they still rarely seem to reach the 100 limit about to be imposed on the zone.
The added bonus, at least, is that this random queue justifies making the daily quests in Wintergrasp into weeklies because it would be difficult for many people on high population servers to find time to not only queue for Wintergrasp but actually make it inside to complete a daily quest anyway.
So the end result of this new system, as far as it concerns me, is that nothing will change. I hope it finally alleviates the issues people on other servers are experiencing though.

Characters which are not in the queue for a starting match will be teleported out of the zone before the match begins. While a match runs, there will be 100 players per faction inside Wintergrasp.

It makes sense, kind of sad, but I can see why they need to do that.

So what is going to happen to the people that are fishing or mining in the area when the fight begins?
