Warlock Macros
Since most WoW players use macros for enjoyable emotes, there are a few for the Warlock that can change the outcome of your fight. We have all kinds of examples to throw out there, but today we want to give you a taste for how these would work if you were somewhere like Stratholme. Since there are several mobs, having the ability to heal instantly is very important (amongst other things).
Knowing Your Enemies (Fire Casting Macro)
Throughout the game you will come across certain enemies that are immune to many of your Warlock spells. When you see this, it is always good to have a few Warlock Macros that can combat the situation. A prime example is when you are taking on the undead. Obviously if you’re in trouble the Howl of Terror isn’t going to work. However, if you had a Fire Casting macro you probably wouldn’t be in that situation. Here is a good example below.

/castsequence [mod:alt] Corruption; reset=10/target/combat Immolate, Incinerate, Reign of Fire
During this time you will probably need to pop a mana potion of some sort, unless you either take some from your minion. Then again, if your health is ripe you may just want to do a Life Tap or two to get enough back for another run. Speaking of Life Tap, have you ever thought about making a macro that uses different ranks for this ability?
Taking Advantage of Ranks (Life Tap Macro)
Since the Warlocks use a ton of mana, it’s important to have this in the Warlock Macros repertoire. Why? Well, the reason is simple. There are times when your health is low and your minion is out of mana to steal. Even all your potions are gone, which can put you in a real predicament. The Life Tap macro will allow you to choose if you want the higher level used or maybe a smaller rank. You can see this example below.
#showtooltip
/cast [mod:alt] Life Tap (Rank 1)
/cast [no modifier] Life Tap
Faster Farming or Grinding
If you are looking for a way to save some time farming goods or grinding for mats, then these Warlock macros will come in handy. It’s simple, everyone around level 10 and up can use it, and you can adjust it to fit your specific needs. However, we suggest making one that coincides with the location you are farming. You can find the example below.
#showtooltip
/petattack
/cast [mod:alt] Corruption
/cast [no combat] Curse of Agony
/cast [no combat] Immolate
/cast sequence reset=target/combat Drain Life, Drain Soul, Life Tap,
More Available
There are plenty more available in the Warlock Macros bucket, you just need to know what you use most. A great one that we didn’t cover is setting a Buff sequence for playing other players or when you’re in a party. It’s nice to be able to push one button and make it all happen, as opposed to hitting 5 or 6. We hope this helps you build your character for battle a little better. Once you start using them we know it will.
