Wrath Item Prices Starting to Settle Down

Over the last week and a half or so, I’ve started to see the prices on Wrath items normalize a bit. During the opening week of Wrath, for instance, I could sell Borean Leather for about 1.5 gold each without a problem. That price has slowly come down over the last month and yesterday morning the lowest bid was 75 silver each. I have a hunch that’s the price it’s might hover at for awhile now.

I’m still getting really good prices on Crystallized Fire and Frostweave Cloth though. The prices on those items have dropped a bit but they’re maintaining decent levels much better than items like the Jormungar Scale which was selling for about 15 gold each during Wrath’s first week and has since bottomed out to the point where I have a hard time selling it at all.

Another thing I’ve noticed is that selling blue quality gear is much, much harder than it was during the Burning Crusade days. I’m sure the reason for this is the intense abundance of quality quest rewards in Wrath right now. The only reason I can see for anyone buying weapons and armor on the Auction House right now would be for the special crafted items. I doubt many people are looking for generic world drops to help boost their gear.

My new policy is just to vendor every weapon and armor piece I pick up and avoid trying the Auction House entirely. The deposit fees on most of those items alone ruins any serious chance at making a nice profit with those types of items anymore.
